Tom Pugh and I ventured down to Washington Wetlands to view the bird feeding station from the hides. The weather was partial cloud which needed a high ISO setting for my 400 f5.6 lens. Tom used a Sigma EX 500 f4.5 lens. However, the birds were far too quick on occasions and all we got were flapping wings, branches and bird seed. We did see the elusive tree creeper and the great spotted woodpecker amongst many finches, tits and robins. As the weather was a little overcast and snowy at times it will no doubt necessitate another trip, soon I hope!
